Storybook’s Annette (F2)

Annette is a stunning beauty! Her eyes are large and lustrous, her ears are looong and frosted and so soft! She has a lovely brisket, and tons of milk in her pedigree.

Annette is out of Gingertop Farm Giselle *P. Her sire, Joyous Farm Le Tigre has a rich heritage of milk lines behind him. (Click on either of these names to see more of the genetics behind this fine doeling.) Her full brother from 2021, Storybook’s Prince Valiant, became one of our herdsires.

Annette’s Dam and Sire Lines

Annette’s Dam

Annette’s dam is Gingertop Farm’s Giselle *P. She has been an MDGA Top Ten milker (rating nationally) in three categories: #8 for milk weight, #9 for butter fat weight, and #10 for butterfat percent! All of this as an older doe.

Giselle’s udder and more pictures can be found by clicking here.

Sire Line

Annette’s sire was Joyous Farm’s Le Tigre. He was bred to Giselle for four seasons, and Annette was the only doeling we got from this pairing, but it was worth it. Read more about Le Tigre here.

Annette’s Registration

Annette’s Udder

Annette’s first freshening udder is everything that I hoped for. I bred her two parents for four straight years, and she is the only doeling that I have gotten. I am so excited about her udder! It is beautifully shaped, copious, has good teat placements and medial, and is socked on super tight with great lateral attachments. Her fore udder looks good as well. Now I can’t wait to see her second freshening and put her on milk test in 2024, God willing!

Annette’s Kids

2023 Kids

Annette was bred to BlackBerry’s BQ Once in a Blue Moon for her first freshening. She had twins easily and on her own. We went to call her in for feeding and there discovered them! Storybook’s Roland (available) and Storybook’s Suzette (retained).

2024 Kids

I very much wanted to breed Annette to Candyman, but he was not up to the job, so she was bred to Mosaic’s Mahogany Obsidian *B. They produced a single doeling, Enchanting Ella, whom we plan to retain.
