In 2021, we welcomed a new herdsire to Storybook Farm. His 2022 kids were outstanding, as are those of 2023!
This boy represents the fulfillment of a long-time dream to add CA BlackBerry genetics to our herd. As a bonus, his dam is from Urban Acres lines as well! He is 2 years old in this picture. He is our tallest buck, but we have loved his kids, and look forward to freshening his daughters!
He has the sweetest disposition on the farm: he follows Marcia like a dog and loves to be near her!
Meet BlackBerry’s BQ Once in a Blue Moon!
Blue Moon is an F1 Mini Nubian buckling from amazing milk lines, and his kids have not disappointed! He is obviously gorgeous: long bodied, with looong ears, blue eyes, and moonspots. He has a lovely wide escutcheon. He’ll be changing for another two years at least, so watch for updated pictures as he does.

In July 2021, Mat Trang placed #14 in Yearling Milkers at the national ADGA show.
She and her dam placed 5th in the Dam/Daughter class.
May Trang’s yearling LA: V+V+85. She earned her milk star in protein, butterfat, and production in 2021 (official notification pending).
