Dahlia is a sweet and sassy girl. She is a purebred, polled girl out of one of our most exciting 2024 first fresheners, Storybook’s Sweet Lilac.
Dahlia had two littermates: a sister and a brother, who have found new farms already. Having seen Lilac’s FF udder, I’m excited to see what Green Gables Amazing Asteroid *B has contributed.
Dahlia should be bred in 2025 for 2026 kids.

Dahlia’s Dam Line
Storybook’s Sweet Lilac is Dahlia’s dam.
We had been very much looking forward to Lilac’s first freshening, and she did not disappoint! This is her first 12-hour fill picture, a little more than 2 weeks fresh. She easily nursed triplets, and is an excellent mother.
We love how high and tight her udder is, and her foreudder extension as well, just like her dam’s.
Dahlia’s maternal granddam is JC’s Bluebelle 3*P. Bluebelle’s udder is high, tight, and productive, and has held up beautifully for four freshenings so far.
This picture is of her third freshening. We lover her extended forudder, especially.
Dahlia’s Sire Line
Dahlia’s sire is Green Gables AC Amazing Asteroid *B, and this is his dam’s 2F udder. She is Green Gables FF Cali Eclipse 5*P.
In 2020, placed twice on the MDGA Top Ten 305-Day List: #3 for Milk Weight and #5 for Butter Fat Weight. In 2021, Eclipse peaked on test at 14#, and was Top Ten again: #7 in Butter Fat Weight.
Eclipse’s Dam: Green Gables Cali Luna 4*P
Eliya again: “Eclipse’s dam’s udder was everything I breed for: Incredible capacity, excellent teat placement, high, wide rear udder, well extended and smoothly blended foreudder, correct udder shape and TONS of milk peaking at 10# as a 2nd freshener!”
VMCH Echo Hill’s Molly O’Malley 2*P
This is Molly’s Udder. She is Eclipse’s paternal grand dam and maternal great grand dam. Until “eclipsed” by her granddaughter, Molly held the barn record at Green Gables, giving 11# on test.
